After last meeting’s mammoth Table Show it was back to normal with most of the regular club members attending despite yet another cold evening.Business
The secretary had correspondence from the Federation of British Aquarist Societies (FBAS) – the minutes from the AGM held in December along with the subscription form for the coming year. The treasurer will complete the form and send it off. We hope that FBAS membership proves more valuable this year than last.
Breeding fish was the main discussion point and Graham Ramsay had produced a handout with useful tips for those trying to breed their fishes.
John Reid had some practical demonstrations on show including some zebra danios who were spawning in their bag. The night finished with an identification quiz where 10 young fish had to be identified. Eric Jones emerged victorious and captured the prize on offer – a bag of young corydoras sp.”gold laser”. Well done Eric.
There was no auction with members keeping their spare fish for the upcoming auction at Glenrothes on Sunday 21st February.
