Last Thursday we held the 7th Table Show of the season and it was the busiest Table Show anyone can remember.
There was no Society business. There were 16 people at the meeting which is a great turnout on a cold January night.
It was Table Show night. There were over 50 entries on display which is quite remarkable. View the results here. The Table Show page is here. With only 1 show left it is still close at the top of the league and many classes will be decided on the last day.
Whilst the judges went about their duties a discussion was held which centered on the sad news that Ivan Dibble had died. Ivan was a driving force behind the setting up the Fish ARK project and was a major character on the UK livebearer scene.
Ian Sinclair auctioned some of his beautiful red-eyed red swordtails and a bag of young Xiphophorus meyeri, a rare platyfish from Mexico. All fish sold for £5 a bag which Ian generously donated to the club. Thank you Ian.
Thursday 11th February when Graham R will be talking about easy ways to breed your fish.
