Kullander, S.O., T.Y. Liao & F. Fang. 2009. Danio quagga, a new species of striped danio from western Myanmar (Teleostei: Cyprinidae). Ichthyological Exploration of Freshwaters, 20: 193-199.
D. quagga looks very like the striped form of D. kyathit. It is described from a single specimen caught by Sven Kullander and Te Yu Liao in a small stream in the Ayeyarwaddy drainage on the Myanmar border with India and from four specimens bought from a local fish market. The unusual specific epithet comes from the Quagga – a subspecies of zebra and alludes to the fishes striped appearance. The original paper for D. quagga can be read here.

D. tinwini is the fish known as TW02, Danio sp. Burma or the Golden-ring danio and is noteable for its small size – less that 3cm. Is is named after U Tin Win who collected a number of specimens in the same region as D. kyathit. The original paper for D. tinwini can be read here.
